Advertised Vacancies through BSSC

  • the ‘Jobs Board’ at the front of the MIPs Office
  • and in the Parent Newsletters

Vacancies from The Bendigo Advertiser are also advertised on the ‘Job Board’ and we have our fantastic ‘self serve’ facility that gives you details on how to access online positions at various businesses and companies. The Self Serve facility is located outside the MIPs office in G17.

The team in MIPs (in G17) can assist you with practical advice on resumes, applications, resources, books, referrals, practise interviews, interview clothing, work wear, assistance with your Career Pathway Plan, and general job search support.

MIPs are also able to assist you with Careers and Vocational Testing. Come in and see us to make a time to sit down and discuss your pathway. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know. MIPs have a range of tests and quizzes that will assist you in finding your own little niche in this big wide world!

The MIPs team have developed great relationships with local agencies, ready to support students for a variety of reasons. We can refer you to Job Services Australia, Centrelink, Training Organisations such as On Track, Access Employment, Continuing Education, other education facilities such as BRIT or BTech or support workers in St. Lukes or Connect Central.

Short Course Information and Specific Training

MIPs have current information regarding short courses offered here at the College and externally. BSSC will be running Responsible Service of Alcohol, Food Handlers and a variety of others. It is a great opportunity to attend a course that is conveniently timed and situated. Look out for details I the parent news and pathways meetings.

The Pathways Office (or Careers Office)

The team in the MIPs Office in G17 has some fantastic networks for your employment endeavours. In the Pathways Office down stairs in G Block there are Careers Counsellors, Work Experience/Placement Coordinators and very knowledgeable staff who can assist you. Please come in and see the Pathways Team and make an appointment with Careers and/or the Work Placement Coordinator
